Class IV Laser
Non-invasive pain relief and faster healing.
Milton Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer Companion Laser Therapy — a safe, painless, and drug-free treatment that uses focused light energy to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, and accelerate the body's natural healing process.
How It Works
Therapeutic laser light penetrates deep into tissue, stimulating cellular activity and increasing circulation. This process — called photo biomodulation — triggers the release of endorphins, reduces inflammation, and promotes faster tissue repair. Most pets find the treatment relaxing and comfortable.
Laser therapy is effective for a wide range of conditions including osteoarthritis and joint pain, post-surgical incision healing, wound care, muscle and soft tissue injuries, ear infections, and skin conditions. It is especially beneficial for senior pets managing chronic pain.
Each session typically lasts 5–20 minutes depending on the area being treated. Most pets require a series of treatments — often 3–6 sessions over 2–3 weeks — followed by maintenance visits as needed. Many owners notice improvement after just the first or second session.
Laser therapy is safe for pets of all ages and can be used alongside other treatments including medications and physical rehabilitation. It is a particularly valuable option for pets who cannot tolerate certain medications or who need additional pain management support.
